  About the Modalities
  • Remedial Therapy  addresses the chronic pain of repetitive strain injuries as well as recent sports injuries.  Techniques utilized include Soft Tissue, Positional Release and Neuromuscular Release.  Remedial Therapy supports the body's natural ability to heal itself.

  • Reflexology addresses imbalances in the body through the stimulation of points on the soles of the feet.  Each foot has over 7,000 nerve endings.  By strongly massaging the soles of the feet with an acupressure-like technique, the reflexologist can distinguish those areas of the body in which imbalance might lie.  Reflexology is a soothing treatment suitable for anyone, but particularly good for those who are new to therapeutic bodywork.

  • Reiki is considered "vibrational".  We all possess the ability to heal.  The energy that allows us to manifest balance can be compared to a badly tuned radio station.  Reiki practitioners have been attuned.  Like a radio antennae receiving strong, clear signals, we are better able to "transmit" energy.  By placing our hands at locations that roughly correspond to the client's Chakra centers, Reiki practitioners channel a clarifying and healthful energy to the recipient.

  • Yoga.    How could a tradition over 4,000 years old be perfectly applicable to our modern lives?  Hatha Yoga is a system of exercise for the body that also stretches the mind.  A regular Yoga practice can take you anywhere you want to go.  You don't need to be flexible to practice Yoga.  Yoga gives you flexibility in your body and in your attitude.  You don't need to be strong to practice Yoga.  Yoga builds strength in the body and strength of character.

The Question Remains
Why Me?  Simply put, I love what I do.  My training allows me to create a unique treatment based on what you bring to the table on any particular day.  If you need silent, soothing energy work one week, that's what we'll do.  Should you need to rehabilitate an injured hamstring the next week, and appreciate a more vocal and interactive approach, I'm right there with you.

My own story includes years of inactivity, obesity, and a few life hiccups and a career threatening injury.  Today I'm a lean, healthy and happy woman.  I believe my personal history helps me to connect on a deeper level with my clients.  My work is intuitive and empathetic.

I look forward to meeting you.
